A lot of SUPs out there are as wide as a barge, and weigh about as much. While this does make the board more stable, it also makes them a chore to paddle, turn and carry. We've incorporated some tricks to make the board narrower, lighter and more manueverable than any other, and at the same time much more stable.
A step along the rail line creates a "pontoon" effect for stability. A rounded pintail allows for easy direction changes, whether in waves or flat water. Conservative rocker curve yeilds a forgiving feel in the water, creating a sure-footed feeling. Finally, the blunt nose shape allows us to keep the outline more parallel, which further enhances the board's stability and speed.
Available in three sizes to accomodate differing abilities and paddling styles:
The 9'0" Siren SUP, for begining riders up to 140#, or intermediate/advanced riders of any size who want to really rip up the surf;
The 11'0" Siren SUP EZ, for beginners over 140#, or anyone who just wants to cruise;
The 10'0" Siren SUP Mid Size, for paddlers looking for the best of the 9'0's versatility and 11'0's stability.
The Fantasea Model was designed by 2005 World Women's Longboard Champion Kristy Murphy to be the best balance of old school cruisability and new school acrobatic antics. Perfected through rigorous R&D work at classic spots like Malibu and SanO, we have captured the best balance of turning, trimming and noseriding qualities and incorporated them in this graceful classic. Concave=Lift. The Fantasea sports a 1/4" deep nose concave that is blended into nearly 1/3 of the board. This concave section helps to produce the lift you need to stay perched on the nose longer. In order to retain the ability to turn quickly and get around fast section, we have incorporated a hard, edgy rail in the tail. This helps the Fantasea to jet out of turns and hit the lip with effortless aplomb. Best suited to waves under head high. Because of its forgiving, "make the most of any wave" nature, the Fantasea is by far our most popular surfboard for beginners.
The Hot Tamale is...Hot. A 2+1 fin setup and slight "V" bottom tail make the Hot Tamale surf short from the tail while subtle nose concave and soft rails make noseriding a breeze--even in big surf. A progressive rocker and narrow, racy tail allows for snappy, vertical maneuvers. Round rails are forgiving rails. That's why soft, round rails extend the forward section of the board, keeping a high trim line and allowing for easy recovery from off-the-lips. The tail section of a high performance board like the Hot Tamale calls for something a little different. Hard, "Down" rails through the tail shed water, reducing drag and making turns feel fast and snappy. Also available as in SurfTech's Tuflite construction for those seeking rugged durability. This board is most popular among people who already surf competently and are looking for something that will perform is bigger, more powerful surf as well as the mushy small stuff. From overhead tubes to knee-high slop, the Hot Tamale is the best all-around longboard available.
The Soul Desire is the ultimate mid-length surfboard. This board makes the most of all conditions. An excellent starter board, balancing stability, maneuverability and ease of paddling in a manageably sized package. Try one for yourself and you will see why The Soul Desire has become many girls' sole desire. Also available as in SurfTech's Tuflite construction for those seeking rugged durability.
The Cherry Bomb is an explosive little single-fin with a soulful 70's mentality. Low rocker and generous thickness make this model very fast down the line while a subtle bonzer-like double concave in the tail helps it to accelerate out of turns. The diamond tail also helps the Cherry Bomb to surf more vertical than the typical round tail, "V" bottom single-fin.
